All Chinkara designs are approved by IRS (Indian Register of Shipping) and the production process is monitored by our in-house quality control and certification agency.
The Chinkara yard is equipped to handle FRP vessels up to 20 meters in length to international quality standards.
Due to our quality production process, we are able to deliver our boats with a five year warranty on the integrity of the hull and one year warranty on all other OEM parts.
Advantages of Catamarans & Trimarans v/s Monohulls
- Besides being one of the most modern forms of crafts today, the Catamaran and trimaran have several advantages that give them an edge over the conventional mono-hulls, namely:
- A smooth and stable ride with no slamming and rolling.
- Almost 3 times the space of a mono-hull of a similar length is afforded aboard the Chinkara boats.
- Increased safety due to the design stability of the craft.
- Less wetted area ensures fuel economy and excellent performance
- Catamarans and Trimarans having the same length and being powered by the same horsepower as a comparable monohull will have a 20% better speed potential
- Our crafts may be beached with ease to provide convenient boarding.
- The shallow draft allows the crafts to access all types of waters.
Advantages of Fiber Reinforced Plastic Technology (FRP)
Chinkara uses Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Technology for construction of superior boats for multiple applications. In line with the quality policy of the company all resins, mats and materials are of suitably certified and superior quality conforming to IRS specifications.
- Unlike metal it does not rust and corrode.
- Light–weight.
- Maintenance free & easy to repair
- It has a very long life
- It is easy and fast to manufacture boats in FRP through mechanized manufacturing processes.
- Carbon Fibers and Kevlar fibers can be incorporated into the glass matt to give the specific qualities as required for strength or bullet proofing armor.
